I previously published an article on SubStack (5/17/24) titled, Don’t Downplay “Down-Ballot” Elections! Well, guess what? We did just that! I’m specifically addressing the county in which I reside – Washoe County, NV. Others of you may have truly exercised your civic duty and voted…good for you.
I going to first provide you with statistics that support my dismay that will hopefully teach us all a valuable lesson going forward. I’m going to compare statistics from the 2022 and 2024 Primary Elections for Washoe County.

Data for method of votes cast is not yet broken down to reflect party affiliation on the Registrar of Voters website, but that’s not a surprise! However, they do have a summary of overall voter methods.
2024 2022
Election Day Turnout (all parties): 12,679 (16.41%) 21,300 (6.82%)
Early Voting Turnout (all parties): 10,998 (14.24%) 18,095 (5.80%)
Mail-In Voting (all parties): 53,567 (69.35%) 55949 (17.92%)
Total Voter Turnout (all parties): 77,244 (23.60%) 95,344 (30.54%)
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure this out. Overall voter registration increased by 15,170 from 2022 to 2024. Interestingly, the number of registered Democrat voters decreased by 2357, while the number of registered Republicans increased by 2190. Then why in the world has our overall voter turnout decreased from 30.54% in the 2022 Primary Election to a measly 23.60% in this year’s Primary Election?
Did we decide to just sit this one out this year and hope for the best? Have we forgotten the uproar by parents at school board meetings, public library board meetings, and county commission meetings about drag queen story hour; inappropriate books in school and public libraries; increased violence on our school campuses; election fraud (which I will address later); out-of-control spending on the part of our county commissioners; satanic worship prayers at those same meetings and countless other serious concerns affecting our citizens? This is a real head-scratcher for me, and I hope you too.
We can sign petitions, contact our elected officials, hold public and private meetings to address these issues, rant and complain to our friends, family, and church-goers, but did we all do what is most important – VOTE? It doesn’t appear so!
Primary elections are not a like a scrimmage game in basketball. Some very key offices and positions for which we vote, in order to have proper and sane representation at the local level, are actually the like the GENERAL ELECTION! Case in point, our current County Commission and County School Board are predominately comprised of radical leftists, one RINO, and miniscule representation of conservatives.
We have been up in arms about their radical actions, but we failed to seize the opportunity to vote for a number of conservatives running in this primary to take over their seats. We failed to treat the primary election like a general election, and now we have even lost some of the conservative representation we had. Check out the Democrat candidates that received more votes than the conservative candidates who are now moving on the general election in November. We’ve gone from bad to horrific! We chose apathy over action!
The other elephant in the room for this primary election, as well as numerous other elections in the past few decades, is ELECTION FRAUD! Regardless of political party, the majority of American citizens are experiencing the ill-effects of the crucial issues plaguing our nation, (invasion of illegals; rampant crime; energy depletion; out-of-control government spending; an economy that is in the toilet, etc.) The only people that are not bothered by these issues, are the small percentage of socialist monsters pulling all the levers and pushing all the buttons to destroy America.
So here’s another head-scratcher. Since the number of extreme whacko wokesters is certainly NOT the majority of the population, how is it that the rest of us common-sense Americans (regardless of party) would vote to elect or re-elect people who would destroy what is left of our once great nation?
Besides the corrupt, bias, lying media, who fill the heads of so many middle-of-the-road Democrat voters, our election system is wrought with fraud. More than half of Americans distrust elections, mainly because of our “unique” way our elections are handled. Among other democratic countries, America one of the only ones that does NOT require paper ballots.
It used to be “election day” – now it’s election month. With the exception of requested absentee ballots, mail-in ballots weren’t a “thing,” nor were drop boxes. Voter ID was required; voter rolls were kept clean and up-to-date; ballots were counted by hand; results were within several hours following the polls closing. But the Plan-demic changed all of that.
But if you dare question the legitimacy of an election you will be labeled a conspiracy theorist or an election denier. Several attorneys who have filed cases challenging election practices or results have been threatened with losing their law licenses. In Washoe County, boxes and boxes of hard-fact evidence of election fraud have been gathered, but the courts either won’t take the case, or throw it out without reviewing the evidence.
Our voter rolls are a disaster; the Election Management System (EMS) voting machines are highly suspect; machines – not humans count ballots; voter ID is not required; no chain of custody by the USPS for mailed-in ballots; all done behind closed doors with 1-5 people declaring winners from what the “voting machine” indicates; no verification by allowing hand-counted ballots. This fraud continues election after election because the same corrupt officials keep getting elected or re-elected.
So, ask yourself why our registrar of voters will not consider doing anything to ensure the legitimacy of an election such as: hand-counting ballots as a checks and balance to machine results; or cleaning up voter rolls; or requiring voter ID; or limiting election periods to one day (or three at the most)? It’s because they have something to hide. They DON’T want to ensure that they can legitimately count the ballots resulting in the candidate who has received the most legitimately votes cast for him/her, wins. They just want THEIR candidate to win. It’s funny, but not so funny, that this generally happens in blue counties/cities/states.
Apathy, or election fraud, or both? I believe it’s both. Shame on us for the apathy, shame on them for the fraud. Let’s commit to never sit one out again; we must cast our votes. If you did, thank you. If you know anyone who didn’t, encourage them to vote in all primaries, caucuses, and general elections. But let’s do more. Flood our state’s Attorney General, Secretary of State, and local Registrar of Voters with letters, emails, phone calls etc. to loudly and clearly let them know that we demand transparency and legitimacy in our election process. If not, we will continue to live with these critical issues that should drive us to the polls in the first place. Make your vote count.
Another way you can become more involved in the fight for free and fair elections is to check out the True the Vote website. It has tools, resources and ways to actively get involved in cleaning up the mess on aisle 4 of our corrupt election system. Never be afraid to question the results of an election when you see something suspicious, and act on those suspicions. Maybe you win, maybe you lose, but the only way it will change is if you’re not afraid to talk about it.
